The project “From Byzantium to the Ottoman World in South-Eastern Europe” (BYOSE, 2022-2026), led by the École française d’Athènes and the CNRS, focuses on the integration and transformation of the Byzantine world within the pax ottomanica between the 14th and 17th centuries. It aims to address key historiographical questions and highlight the essential resources for studying this transitional period. Thematic dossiers, as well as conferences that bring together specialists from diverse national backgrounds, are the main tools employed.
